Been Ghyll Scambling up there a few years ago. I have always liked the look of the section of the river between the Tilberthwaite road and the Hodge Close road, but never paddled it.... Lake District Guide book says it's fence city!

Well done!:D That's right.

Just out of interest is it a good paddle on the Ribble?.... Stainforth Force looked quite nice especially with a tad more water in it.

Liam, have you got a Wezzit piccy to post up?

I was quite impressed with the short section of the ribble above stainforth force where there are some bouldery rapids. A blast in high water (G3 but feels harder as its continuous). Stainforth itself looked very serious! Terminal in the main flow, with a very sketchy sneak down the right into a boily and recirculating eddy. We didn't paddle it.

Yes me too, I think Terry Storey described it as the best section of white water in England and yes the force looks death on a stick.
