Just a quick thank you to all that came last night we had a great turn out.

we had a great selection of films heres my quick reviews

fat cats - you guys have got big balls some awsome waterfall paddling and cheers for all that kiwi beer my head wasnt too pleased this morning though.I now want to goto the Mekong.

Dave Mambys dudh kosi - quite incredable, just image driving from the UK to Nepal to paddle down everest in the 1970's. its a must see for anyone wanting to know about how our sport pioneers did it.

Bryan Smiths Pacific Horizons - I have got to be honest as a river paddler I was too bothered about sea kayaking films, but I was wrong 8 tidal races in BC in 8 days what a trip.

Rainchasers - OK maybe Im biased, but it was all filmed 30 miles from the venue, I do love living in the lakes (Thanks for the editing Kris)

Newton Riggs European Avdenture - This just shows whats possible when a small group are determained to have a good trip and with a real inpressive finale.

Ben Jeung - Ben came over from Germany with a couple of films he made in Austria while working as a raft guide including a trip on a river/beck which made our own of ingelton look small.

Ali and Si's Greenalnd trip - Two guys running hugh water on there own miles from anywhere with a couple of camera as I said before you guys have got big balls.

Thanks to Ned for the organising and it was cool to catch up with so many friends

What do everyone else think ?

loved all the films! Especially the Rainchasers shorty. ;)

It's definitely whetted my appetite to get out and push my paddling further this year. Dare say I may even try and get enough footage together to make a movie for next year.

Next year I hopefully wont be driving so I can have a drink. Great to see that all the seats were taken - standing room only and catch up with a few people.

Steve - nice work on the light switches :D very slick!

Thanks Ned for sorting an excellent evening, though a couple of people peaked a little to early in the evening and had a snooze through the last couple of films. (not a reflection of the films, more the quantity of alcohol consumed!)

Thanks to all concerned for a great night - really enjoyed it. Good to see so many old friends.

Aren't a couple of veteran paddlers allowed a little power nap from time to time, after all we were up past our bedtimes. Apologies if it was your film we were dozing through.

Cheers for that. It was great to meet up with folk old and new.
I need to thank a few folk that alcohol made me forget on the night.

Steve rogers. AV bringing films and a kick off the couch at the right moments.
Louis for sorting AV kit and doing some running round.
Steve ed for general support, particularly the last minute stress yesterday afternoon to get the right lead and clearing up in the morning.
Kris for the rainchasers edit
Tom, jonny, Kris, Dave, Gillian, ross for great support on the night.
All those who contributed films or footage. including the above and stu and jon for some clips that went into the rainchasers mix.
Windermere canoe and kayak for offering a great discount deal for those who have the flyer and really getting behind the event.
Dove nest for generous terms on the kit.
H for putting up with it all.
And not least for those who were (or wanted to be) there. And extra shout to those who made a trip of it from further afield. Sorry we couldnt provide any water to entertain you!

I'm hoping when the dust settles to be able to fund a new cam and pursue the remote gauging idea on the back of the finance form the night. Also it will contribute to the cost of running rainchasers.

Glad it went well, my friends had a good time, they stayed at mine on Sat night, were esp impressed with the Greenland & local stuff.

Cheers Chris

Thanks guys, films were brilliant.
Sorry had to shoot of after, ended up walking accross boggy fields and climbing 10` high stone walls trying to get to a remote farmhouse with my record bag in tow. Fortunately chose the right house to stumble into and it was all good.
