Well not yet, but its coming ...
im putting together a series downloadable 'riverfax' sheets for local boating. I'm trying to get away from the normal layout of a blow by blow account but to give flavour of each trip or combination of falls.
Im working on the principle of 'A picture is worth a thousand words' and so need pictures of rivers, falls, scenery, people, pubs etc. Im now commited to getting the content off to the designers in January. They will then montage all the images together with some text and get it looking good.
Anything I could collect of the community would be great. I'm going to carry a camera around with through till january, but if you have any stock, or you could send other stuff that would be great. Any interesting and reasonable quality shot of boating trips and/or scenery in the North of England is really welcome and will be credited if used.
Each sheet will be a free downloabadle pdf in a4 or a5 layout and will work in colour or black and white. Out next summer.
Upload to rainchasers/photobucket or similar or stick them on a carrier pigeon - whatever. Best available quality please.
I'm also getting a bit of a back log of techincal issues within rainchasers. We have funds for more webcams, river gauges being constructed and web work to be done. Volunteers? Any suggestions/ideas or general enthusiasm gratefully received as well.
cheers,
ned

I have a few pictures of the local rivers which I'll dig out and get to you in the next week. Look forward to seeing the guides :)

Just spent an hour sorting ~600mb photos for you. If you have a CF card I can put it on that for you, if not I'll try to remember to burn a CD.

How's the photo hunting going?

I've still not managed to get a look through my archive. I'd probably do a better job if you told me which rivers your lacking piccy's for...
