Admittedly, this isn't mine, it's been stolen from the UKRivers forum (http://www.ukriversguidebook.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31358), but it's bugging me. Where is this impressive slide/fall? I thought that some of the local knowledge in this forum might help?

Its on hayeswater gill. comes in from the east at the north end of kirkstone. stu has some pictures of the run (http://www.rainchasers.com/component/option,com_gallery2/Itemid,96/?g2_itemId=3424) down from the fall. (You can see the top of the slid on image 3)
im pretty sure, stu will confirm? Or the guys at newton rigg.
It looks keen, and a lot steeper in the flesh!

Hayswater Gill. yep this has been confirmed by Ando before I even saw the post.
This big fall looks fairly mad in the flesh. Not sure we considered it as there was less water on our descent, and if my memory is correct I think there is another narrow nasty fall between this and where we started at the footbridge.
