View Full Version : Lost Paddle on force falls

A mate lost a paddle on force falls today, was last seen dissapearing into the undercut just below on river left. I unfortunately was in the small eddy but was busy sorting the boat and so didn't get there in time. We had a feel about and could feel them in there but couldn't find any way of getting them out - were a paddle length in at least.

Think they were some lendals but don't think that he had them marked in any way so if anyone finds some let me know and i'll find out what they were exactly. Hopefully when the level drops they'll reappear.

Sorry should have said that, Yea it's on the kent, was at a nice flow today.

Is that rich c who un- pinned a boat on the greta over x.mas ?

Hope the paddle turns up mate , tim paddles the kent alot . I will ask him to keep an eye out for it if he has nt already seen this post .

Yeah, that was me. Must admit I'm not too expectant of getting this paddle back, seen a couple of paddles disapear into there over the years and not seen any of them come back yet. Him not putting any contact details on it just reduces the chances even more.

Hope you managed to get out at the weekend.

You never know it may turn up .

I am hoping to get this weekend as i 've still not been able to get out since the greta . Knocked my confidence abit but no way iam i giving up . Everybody is above my level and finding it hard to get and learn . Jodie is back home at bury soon so she said if the levels are right she'll take me on the irwell .

Yeah, you never know we may get lucky.

I'm running a beginner/intermediate paddle on sunday on the river Cocker if you guys are interested in tagging along? Not sure if you want to drive that far though.

Either get in touch with me on here or I think that Jodie might have my number (it was me you called to find the pub after the Greta) if your interested and I'll let you know the details.
