View Full Version : Garden ornaments ...
You notice this from the ebay ads? (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120208757138)
A mountain bat fetching £250!
They were crap back in the day and im sure they are really terrible now. Still, at those kinda prices I might stick up a few of my current garden ornaments. How about a salto with three holes in it? I reckon Id rather take that on the water than an intact mountain bat. At least I could steer before it sank, and even then it would have the dynamic properties a mountain bat anyway :D
that Z is more tempting?

I dont see the problem with the mountain bat as a boat. It pioneered some of the classic rivers of the world .For a boat to hold it,s value so long after it,s release shows the sign of a true classic.
Even the foxy design graphics show it was a style icon of it,s time unlike the modern day graphics like tacky flames and so on
long live the BAT range from pyranha
tacky graphics are totally awful - but all the rage! Flash gordon would be proud :p.
if were gonna get into boat design I still think the mountain bat is a pretty easy target. I'm sure we could come up with something a bit more controversial than that?
i accept that paddling a mountain bat wouldn't be as bad as getting one of those new little Jefes.
"Iiiits chico time". Look forward to boating with you Auntie ned
these are the kind of 'in threads' i hate on ukrgb! - sorry.

I also have to disagree with Ned, the mountain bat is a classic boat along with the Tragic bat and geek280.
I do have to agree with Ned about those little Jefe kayaks though, who buys them ? I guess small kids and very small women kayakers ? I guess that is why they put flowers on them to appeal to the women paddlers ? Funny though, last time I was out on the Kent I saw this guy paddling one, I thought it was a kid but it was actually a really small guy probably in his mid thirties who was chain smoking cigarettes at the put in.
It looked very hard to paddle though, he seemed to be finding it hard to keep control of despite it's size........
