Friday Afternoon Paddle Anyone?

We seem to be getting plenty of rain this week so is anyone interested in a Friday afternoon paddle?

I,m interested Jon, a few jobs to do in the morning but if I can I,ll be there.

I've looked at the Leven today and it looks like it will be a good level. Also the Kent looks like a possibility.

If anyones interested we are going to paddle the Leven. Meeting at 2.30pm at the bottom of the full Leven run.

Yes thanks :) Sunshine and loads of water, what more could you ask for !

Yep, we had a good paddle down the River Leven. The water was showing 1.8 on the marker at the brick shoot and the center wave was nice to play in... even managed a couple of cartwheels! Side weirs where somewhat sticky (there'll be a little video in the members area soon).

Backbarrow bridge was about the biggest that I've run it with water cushioning against the left bridge support although I made it through the right way up. Dave R managed a nice aerial cork-screw as he hit the white stuff and racked up another point on the swim counter!;)

Towards the end of the run we took the left chanel around fishermans island... The river needs to be higher (+2.0 at the brick shoot) for this side to be a option as it's quite rocky!

All in all it was a good afternoon's entertainment.:D

I really do think the left side of fishermans island is a far better line ! :o
