After meeting at Greenodd and spending a bit of time 'umming and arrring' we decided that there wasn't going to be any water in anything other than the Leven, so yet again we were stuck with paddling it.
Can anyone please tell me why we always get rain in the beginning of the week and by the time the weekend comes around it's all gone and the rivers are low again?!!:mad:
Anyway, the gauge at the brick shoot was showing 1.2... 0.2 higher than last week and Backbarrow bridge falls looked meaty! We all had a good play at the brick shoot and some rolling practice...not swimming!
Kaituna tried for the illusive wave wheel above the grave yard but couldn't quite nail the timing.
Backbarrow Bridge Fall was like a washing machine again forcing all to roll.... no swimming! It's amazing how quickly a feeling of fear can change to excitement...about the time it takes to paddle through Backbarrow bridge, i reckon.
I'll post the video in the members area tomorrow evening for all to enjoy.
