Please note that the new resident of the house river left and down stream of the white water hotel has asked that paddlers portaging the large weir, stay on the path and do not hang around in the garden. There is no objection, at the moment, to us using the path, but apparently some people have been lingering, even to the extent of having a picnic in the garden.
Also I have just heard from the EA that refurbishment of the "brick chute" weir is going to commence on Monday 16th June and this work will make the weir impassable / unusable for the duration of the work.
Not that it will be paddleable with the current water levels. I will try to find out the duration of this work.
