BCU Foundation Safety and Rescue Courses

This is a fun, practical, wet course, and is useful for anyone who takes part in paddling on flat water, whether or not they intend to later train as a Kayak or Canoe coach.
The course is designed for all paddlers of either Kayak or Canoe. You will learn simple safety and rescue skills that can be applied in a sheltered water environment and methods of dealing with common emergencies. By the end of the day, you will be able to rescue swimmers and a variety of different boats, using several different techniques. The course is a pre-requisite for training as a BCU Coach.
