Did my first run of the Greta for a while and was amazed at the number of current tree hazards. Some big trees are down in the main flow and not likely to move soon.
This has changed the character of the river considerably and possibly not the best choice for large groups of novice paddlers unless the leaders are fully aware of the positions of the hazards.
