I'm new to this forum and the Cumbrian area, but by no means a Lake District paddling virgin. I was brought up on the rivers of the Lakes and have relocated to Carlisle so that I can start my degree after putting it off for a year. I'll be looking to get out on the Cumbrian rivers as much as possible and would love to meet a few guys who I can regularly paddle with. I'm a fan of the steep and technical stuff. Happy on grade 4 and will push it from time to time.

Hi RockRat,

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you'll find some G4 paddlers to hook up with in the north lakes area.

In the paddling season there's a group of paddlers who meet up regularly at Greenodd on Sunday mornings.... don't quite think it'll be for you as they usually keep to grade 3 max but worth a mention.
