There's a river-wide tree/strainer about 1/2 mile below Lowick Bridge on the Crake. A couple hundred metres above the tree there is a rapid that splits into a few small channels. Soon after you see a farm on your left. The tree is next to this farm. Break out left and portage through the field.
There's also a tree in the first significant rapid you come to. It's fallen in from river right, but passable on the left.
