Hi,

On Tuesday (15th April) I'm staying at Ennerdale Youth Hostel. Looking at the map it seems the river Liza runs past the youth hostel so it would be a shame to miss out on the opportunity to paddle it. Having researched it there doesn't seem to be much written about it. Does anyone have any helpful info on it as the guidebook seems quite brief?

Thanks,

Chris

Never paddled it myself, but I think you'll be lucky to find it with water in on tuesday!
White water lake district recommends it though, except the walk in, if you want more info grab a copy of the guidebook :)

Its given a full description in White Water Lake District, so not sure where you are researching.
As Atti says though it needs a shed load of water which just isn't here at the moment.
It is however a great run with several good rapids and falls if you get water and can stomach the walk (or manage a lift somehow) A very elusive river which is rarely run.

Cheers Guys,

I got hold of a copy of the whitewater lake district guidebook so that was a good help.

Thanks for your responses, unfortunately i think the rain forecast last week is no longer being forecast so paddling may be pretty restricted!
