Early in the run a fence suspended on a log is blocking the run (not the one at the put in) it can be passed on the right with care and enough water, though comes quickly on a blind bend. the run is now fairly clear for both drops. once on the bobsliegh section the trees start! there are numerous trees blocking the run, actually managed to stay in boat throughout but with alot of ducking, hauling and last minute break outs. a couple will cause real poblems in bigger water due to the speed they'll come at. the last third of the run is alot clearer, so just the middle section needs abit of caution.

Paddles this yesterday and in my opinion and that of the rest of the group with the condition of the trees after the drops it is not worth running uless the majority are cleared. Fortunately we didnt have any injurys or kit loss but I myself had 2 pins which resulted in swims as there was no other way of resolving them.
In all serious I would advise no more runs untill the trees are gone, it made the whole trip a ball ache and is just not worth the effort required to dodge duck or portage the trees.

This nothing new!
This beck has always had numerous trees and branches and it changes almost monthly.
It is never a good beck for groups but is a great esoteric gem for those who like this sort of thing and up for a challenge. Just be aware what you are getting into and take care.
