Please make sure that you report the loss of a boat on the river as soon a possible. You need to make the police and the coastguard aware what model and colour the boat is and when and where you lost it.
The Police non emergency number: 0845 33 00 247 - put it in your phone just in case.
Very often boats get washed up on the Kent, Duddon or Leven estuary after getting lost higher up the river systems and they will spark a full scale search if authorities are not aware the boat is missing.
You'll also benefit from the keen eyes of our paddling community on the lookout... If nothing else, boats are far to expensive to loose without a fight.
